Idaho may not be known as a wheat state but surprisingly has consistently high yields and a history of always delivering as promised.
Idaho consistently hits high wheat yields as reported by the USDA. The northern part of the state tends to grow non-irrigate wheat while southern portion favors irrigated wheat. In general we estimate over the past 20 years the state is averaging across the board around 74 bushels per acre. While in 2020 the average was 100 bushels per acre.

Idaho is known to be consistently high for wheat production. You're able to find almost every type of wheat being grown. Wheat is 2nd behind potatoes for crops in Idaho. Wheat can do well in drier climates and Idaho consistently hits its rain goals (not that much is needed to grow wheat).
